It's that time of year again!!!!

Eagles Time... Gear up!

I look so cute...maybe mom will just let me pull stuff off the counter...

Word of the Day

BUBBLES!!!
Mom, this thing need a refill

Tilly, always supervising... Trace, trying to figure out how the bubble maker works.

When I got Trace out of bed this morning (at 10:00!) he looked at me and said "bubbles" and shook his head no. He gets that because during the week, its all we can do to get him home, fed, bathed, snuggled and off to bed before he gets SUPER grumpy! So, baths are usually quick and we don't have time for bubbles so I say no bubbles. He now points to the jar of bubbles and says bubbles no... So this morning when he woke up saying "bubbles no" I felt like a mean mommy!!! So we had TONS of bubbles today!!! : ) and he said bubbles all day! He is such a cutie. He is working on a new tooth so he was a little grumpy from time to time this weekend. Motrin really helps his mood (and I guess the pain). We went to a birthday part at Chuck E Cheese Saturday night and then over to our friends for the extension (after party!). Burgers and tons of kids in the backyard. CEC pretty much wears me out! Way too much action for me. But the kids had a great time. Another sacrifice of being a parent. :) The weather was wonderful... a sign of fall I suppose. I had the windows open all day today and can hear the crickets chirping now... Trace is sound asleep after a very nice weekend prepping for a week of school. I hope everyone is enjoying the great weather and slower days ahead.

cheese please

The other night I put some Velveeta on top of a noodles for Trace's dinner. I usually make him cheesy noodles with cheddar cheese since it is less messy. But I was out of cheddar so I thought he may like the Velveeta. Needless to say.... he loved it!

Grown ups!

I forgot to mention that Saturday night Sarah and Matt hired a babysitter so that the grown ups could go out to dinner! We actually put Trace down right before we left. That way she only had one toddler to run after. We went to Pappadeaux's Seafood Kitchen. It was SO very good. We ate TONS of great food, sat out on the patio with NO humidity and relaxed with good friends. It was a great night out!

Carys does not look impressed with this.

Working hard in the sand box

Carys tried Trace's hat on for size...

I love how she sucks her left thumb upside down..

Trying to get a couple of one year olds to pose is fun!

Kissing Carys bye bye... I think she was ready for that moment

Saying goodbye to Sarah! Trace loved all of her yummy meals!

Cant forget Matt!

Away we went...

...to Colorado! We had a great time visiting our friends Matt, Sarah and Carys. (I have to get permission from Sarah to post pics of them so they may come later)
Our flight out was suppose to be a 2:45 minute direct flight. Due to a large storm that was in Denver at the time of our arrival we had to circle for 45 minutes, that led to running low on fuel so a "quick" jump to Amarillo Texas... refueled... then back to Denver... This turned our trip into a 7 hour two stop trip!!! I had graham bunnies with me and raisins since I fed Trace before we left and planned to feed him again a few hours later upon our arrival. I learned my lesson to stay over prepared in the food department.
Our return trip involved a 2 1/2 hour delay. So instead of arriving back to Nashville at 9:45pm it was 12:15am making our arrival home around 1:00 AM!!! Awful. Sarah sent lots of food with me so at least Trace had something to eat this time. He was SO tired but did not sleep one second on the plane either direction!!!
Regardless we had a GREAT time. Friday we all went over to the mountains and had lunch in the town of Estes Park. A cute little resort town by the park. Saturday the guys went to play golf and Sarah and I took the kids to the park and went to see Jason, Lisa, Drew and Taylor Held. It was a short visit but it was great to see them. Hopefully on our next trip we can pencil in more time with the Helds! Sunday the boys watched the kids so Sarah and I could do a little shopping and have lunch. Overall it was a great weekend! Thanks for hosting us. We cant wait to return the favor!!!
mom, can we get off this plane now?
Why do they only have pink stuff here???

seriously?
