My sweet little boy is three months old today. He has started gurgling the last couple of days and sticking his tongue out. He thinks it's really funny. I tried to get a picture with his tongue out but I couldn't catch it. Happy birthday Trace!

Mom-mom & Pop-pop's
We had a great time at Mom-mom and Pop-pop's (aka. Johns parents). Trace did really well on the plane. He fell asleep before we took off and woke up shortly after, drank a bottle and stayed awake the rest of the flight. We met Pop-pop and Logan at the air port and went back to Mom-mom's. She fixed a nice dinner and we visited till bed time. Friday we relaxed and then went to John's sister's in the afternoon. We had a cookout and birthday cake for John! Happy birthday baby! Saturday night we all went to the boardwalk. It is really beautiful. There are shops, restaurants, carnival rides and games, etc. Something for everyone. We got there around 4 and stayed till just after 8. I think everyone was worn out by the time we got home. Trace put his little feet in the sand... it was bright and I forgot his hat. Bad mommy.... The sun was setting on the boardwalk so we were in the shade. I put him in the sling and he just loved watching everything and everyone. He loves to be out and about. I think he is going to be social like his mommy... He didn't know what to look at next there were so many people and sounds and colors. He did great! The boys played golf that morning so they were wiped out. It was really warm and sunny the entire weekend. Sunday we went to John's Aunt Gail's house for a Miller family picnic. Everyone got to hold and love on the baby. The big kids got in the pool. It was a hot one. Monday we headed back to Nashville. Trace did great on the trip back too. We picked up Tilly at Miss Kitty's. It was her first time boarding in her five years of life. She goes there to get her hair done so at least she was familiar with it. I decided to get her a summer do... I have been letting it grow but she was getting pretty shaggy! Hi to everyone!

Memorial Day
We had a great Memorial Day weekend! Grandma and Grandpa Ed came up on Saturday and stayed till Monday afternoon. Aunt Kristen stayed with us too! So there were a lot of people to hold the baby boy... Sunday we packed a picnic and went to a local winery. I had never been before but read an article about it recently. They have wine tastings and you can purchase the wine to drink on the property (and take home). They have a lot of covered areas to picnic and relax. There were a lot of people there. It was up on a hill so we had a great breeze and really enjoyed relaxing on the patio. Trace was great of course... I didn't get any scenic shots but it was a really pretty place and its only about 30 minutes from our house. Daddy, Trace and I will have to go back. They had live music outside which they have Friday and Saturday nights and Sunday afternoons. http://www.arringtonvineyards.com/ Here is a link for you locals...
Monday we went downtown Franklin (Franklin is a small town near us with a really cute downtown that has several stores and restaurants) and walked around and then over to the Factory at Franklin (an old factory that has been turned into a mall). We had lunch downtown at Puckets Grocery... tasty! Then it was time for everyone to go home. Thank you Grandpa Ed for getting a few things done around the house. I got a plant to hang on my new hook out front! :)
This past weekend we had our neighbors over for a cookout. Greg and Carla... I didn't get a picture with them... Bad mommy! Aunt Kristen came over too!
Thursday we are headed to Delaware to see Trace's other Grandparents. Mom-mom and Pop-pop. As well as Trace's Aunt Trista and Uncle Lee and his cousins Tyler and Amber.
We will fly into Baltimore and Pop-pop is picking us up. Stay tuned... for details of Trace's first flight.

My thumb
It's official! Trace has found his thumb. I have caught him sucking on it a few times. We think it's cute right now but I know it will be hard to get him to stop. But what do you do? It's his thumb... It's not like I can take it away from him. : )
Also, he has started sleeping though the night. He slept all night Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and only got up once to eat last night then fell back asleep. It's great! Thank you Trace.

Belated Mothers Day
I know. It's been awhile. But, better late than never. : ) Where do I start?
Mother's Day weekend was really nice. We spent all day Friday showing that baby boy off all over town. We went to my great Aunt Wanda's and to a couple of my Dad's friends home. Saturday we spent all day at my mom's with my sisters and nieces. Needless to say they loved Trace. I don't think he went 2 minutes without being held. He loved them just as much. It's too bad we couldn't stay longer. We went to church on Sunday and then back to Mom's for brunch. We hung out till about noon with every one and then headed back to Nashville. He did great in the car. Of course it was awesome to have Aunt Kristen in the car to help stick that passy back in place! We stopped once both ways to feed him, but that didn't take too long and we were back on the road. When I got home Sunday, John let me relax and he took care of the little man. He missed us! He grilled out and made me a nice dinner in.
Trace did great at his second week of school. Tuesday he had his two month check up. He weighed in at 11.11 pounds and is 24 inches tall!!!! He is in the 80th percentile for his height! : )
He did fine with his shots. He cried of course. Daddy held him and he fell asleep shortly after. He didn't run a fever but was a little sore in the legs the next day so I gave him a little Tylenol and that seemed to help. He got 4 Shots. Two in each leg.
Yesterday John had his company picnic at Nashville Shores (a local water park) The weather was a little cool but it was a pretty nice day. Trace and I hung out on a blanket under a big shade tree. He did his first outside tummy time!
Trace has REALLY discovered his thumb... He has gotten it in there pretty good in the last couple of days....
That's about it for now. Hope you are all doing well!

First day of school!
Can you tell that I am back to work? The post are few and far between this week. It has been a busy week for all of us. We had a nice weekend last week. We went to a little spring festival on Sunday. The weather was perfect. Trace had his first day at school on Monday. He did really well. They let us call to check in on him. I think daddy has called more than mommy. :) He has done really well. He has been so busy during the day that he really wants to sleep when he gets home. He only got up once each night this week. Last night he slept from 5:00 in the evening till 12:00. He ate 6 oz of milk and slept till 7:00 this morning. I think he will be sleeping through the night before long! Yeah Trace! He, like his mommy, needs his beauty rest. :) I came home from work not feeling well yesterday so I stayed home today. I think I had a 24 hour bug. I am starting to feel a little better. Tonight, Aunt Kristen is coming to spend the night because she, Trace and I are headed to Mississippi in the morning. Going to Grandma's!!!!! We will see Grandma, Grandpa Ed, Grandpa, Aunt Michelle, Uncle Chuck, and the girls (Leah, Laura & Sami), along with a few other visits that we will try to make. Grandma is SO excited to have all of her girls and grandchildren coming home for mothers day. Trace sent mommy flowers to work yesterday for an early Mothers day present. They are so pretty. Tulips, my favorite! Better get packing!

getting big
Our little man is getting big. At least he thinks he is. He is really holding up his head. He still loves tummy time and thinks he can crawl but he cant.... Mommy and Trace had a great time with April and Mckinley (her daughter) on Monday. We spent some time walking around the mall and caught up over a nice lunch on the patio at Bistro 215. It was such a nice day and the babies were great through our long lunch. I'm so sad that I didn't get any photos... I haven't done very well in that area this week. I will do better. My friends Veronica and Amy came to visit one night this week. And again... no photos... : ( John was off on Thursday so we went to lunch and spent the day with him. We took Trace's supplies to his school so he will be ready to go on Monday. I start back work full time on Monday. I'm sure he will do great! It's me I'm worried about. Look forward to some teary eyed pictures of his first day (me not him)...

Trace has discovered his thumb. He keeps trying to put it in his mouth. So far he just rubs it across his mouth. He has managed to get it in there once or twice but hasn't really sucked on it yet...
