company....what company?

We had a GREAT TIME with Aunt Michelle, Laura, Leah and Samantha.... However... I didn't get my camera out... I know, I know. And of course Michelle took probably 200 pictures and tons of videos but I forgot to download them to my computer (which was my plan) So I have no proof of them being here. They picked up Trace from school on Tuesday just after his lunch... Spoiled him rotten until I got home then I fixed turkey burgers for dinner. Trace spent Wednesday with the girls till I got home from work around 1. I noticed he felt a little warm and turns out he was running a fever of 101. I panicked a little as it eventually went up to 102.8 later in the evening. Aunt Kristen came over to have dinner with us on Wednesday so he had plenty of ladies to love on him. Turns out he is getting both of his top eye teeth along with 2 others on the bottom. Needless to say he was pretty pitiful on Thursday. I did take him to the doctor just in case. His ears looked great so he either had a little virus or just running a fever from the teeth. The girls stayed till just after lunch and had to go home. :( Trace and I were both very sad to see them leave. We loved having them here! Trace did ok at school on Friday but then got another high fever so I picked him up. He was SO pitiful when I got there. Laying on the mat on the floor sweating. I felt so bad. I kept him on Tylenol and Motrin all day Friday night and Saturday. He didn't sleep very well Friday night. I think his teeth were really hurting but Saturday night was much better. Sunday Trace, Logan and I went to the park to see Trace's former teacher Mrs. Lavine. It was great to see her and she got to love on Trace for a bit. We met her at the park early Sunday morning.
We are ready for a new week, hoping those teeth don't give him too much trouble...

Happy Birthday Baby!

getting one last hug before we leave!
Happy Birthday Baby!!! I love you!!!!!

Yesterday was John's birthday... Trace and I had a great time spoiling him this weekend. He played golf with friends on Friday and it was a beautiful day for them! Saturday we relaxed and played with the boys before heading downtown for the Snow Patrol & ColdPlay concert. I bought the tickets back in March and surprised John once we got downtown. We ate on the roof top at Baileys on Broadway and walked over to the concert. We had a great time and really enjoyed being out. The weather was perfect for walking around and sitting outside for dinner. Aunt KK kept Trace for us so a special THANK YOU to her!

Trace is slowly becoming our wild man! He is ALL BOY! but is still such a sweet heart. We are super excited because Michelle and the girls are coming to stay with us this week. It will be a quick trip (coming in Tuesday and leaving Thursday) but we are SO excited. They are going to keep Trace home and play with him. Hopefully I will be able join them some too.

Notice to all... Trace said "K K" today!!!! Sorry grandma but it's true....
I hope John had a nice weekend and is able to enjoy a few more days in his birthday month... He is a great daddy to my sweet baby boy and we love him very much.

Coolest man at the pool

We had a fun weekend. Saturday night Kristen came over and we went to movies in the park. The fun started at 5... the movie started at 8... and we left at 8:30... Trace was so tired and wouldn't settle down afraid he may actually fall asleep. So we called it a night and headed home but it was fun to get out and enjoy some sunshine.

Sunday evening we went to try out the pool... Trace didn't care too much for it.. the water is still pretty cold... But he at least got his feet a little wet.

We tried to get out for a bit on Saturday. We went over to Murfreesboro to see Aunt Kristen for a bit. We went to her picnic but Trace is still a bit little to do all of the bouncy things. So John and I left to go over to an outdoor mall nearby. Well, we made it into one store before the bottom dropped out. We went to one more store and decided to just go back home. At least we were out for an hour or so.

We were just hanging out and I looked over to find this... my studious firefighter / intramural legend... A man of many talents... the muscle shirt was too cute to resist! He got this hat at school when the fire truck came... he loves to put it on and walk around the house.

I had a GREAT mothers day weekend. First of all THE SUN CAME OUT in what felt like months. I think it rained for 10 days straight around here and I was in a real estate class all week with a four hour exam on Friday (it didn't take me four hours but that's what they gave you to take it!) We have mentioned before that Trace likes to catch up on sleep on the weekends.... Well I guess last week with Mom in town and then school all week he was really tired. He went to bed at 8:00 Friday night (after staying up late to play with Logan) and woke up at 10:30 on Saturday morning. Drank some milk, ate breakfast, played a little and couldn't take it anymore at 12:00 Noon... he went down for a nap... He slept till 3:00 when I woke him up to get him ready to go to dinner.

Dinner was awesome. John took Trace and I to a new place in Cool Springs "the Cajun Steamer". It is Louisiana style seafood at its best. We got the Cajun steamer for two! It was awesome with crawfish, huge shrimp, raw oysters and crab legs. It was tasty! It was a beautiful evening, the weather was perfect. 75, nice breeze, clear skies... we sat out on the patio and ate a great meal. John got me flowers and a Gigi's cupcake that we shared. : ) Sunday Trace again slept till 10:00 after going to bed at 7:00 Saturday night. John made me an omelet with mimosa's (while our child slept... crazy I know... ) Then we all went for a nice long walk. We came back and enjoyed the afternoon with some golf and ended the evening with Sushi! It was just a fantastic weekend with my two favorite boys! I love you baby Trace. You make me proud to be a mommy!

PS... I love my mommy... she is a great mother and a fantastic Grandmother! It is so much fun to see how much she loves me and my baby too!

And a Happy Mothers day to all of you mothers out there... especially my sister Michelle who is a fantastic Mother!!!!.... also to Terry and Trista!

Grandma and Grandpa Ed came up to spend the weekend with us. Saturday we went shopping in Murfreesboro with Aunt Kristen then came back home. Grandma, Grandpa Ed and Aunt Kristen kept Trace while John and I went to our friend Mark & Laura's for a corn hole tournament. We came in second... :( Sunday we all went to lunch and then everyone left so we all took a nap! That's what you do on a rainy Sunday afternoon, right?
Hope you all had a great weekend!
