Week 6

It's our sixth week with Trace. We started out with the photo session on Monday. Wednesday I had an appointment in the city so we spent the day running around town and stopped by Aunt Whitney's for a couple of hours. Friday Trace and I went to lunch with Miss April and her mom. Saturday Trace went with me to my office to file the paperwork that I worked on this week and to get some more work for next week. Today Aunt Kristen and her room mate Kayli came for a visit. Kayli brought him some cute new outfits. Thanks! We went to lunch and then they stayed for a few hour to spoil that sweet baby. Tomorrow we are going to spend the day with my (other) friend April. She and her husband moved back to Texas last year and I haven't seen her since. She has a little girl that is seven months old. We are going to spend the day at the mall and have a nice lunch. I cant wait to see her. : )

Kristin Aune

Monday we had Kristin Aune come out to our home to photograph our sweet little boy. She did such a great job and was very patient and really tried to get every shot that we wanted. She was great to work with. Check out her website for more details on her photography. She will be posting all of the photos from the session on her website soon. I will keep you posted. I cant wait to see them all.
Until then... Enjoy a sneak peak.

You know that Tilly had to be right in the middle of things. :)

The whole thing made him very sleepy.

Look at those pretty blue eyes.

Ready for some football?

Ok, so we are just approaching draft day... But a true football fan needs to be ready...

Visitors

Miss April B!
Aunt Kristen

Aunt Kristen came over on Sunday and Miss April came over on Monday night. Aunt Kristen brought lots of love from Grandma! I spoke to my older sister Michelle on Sunday and she said that her girls are ready to meet him. Samantha asks about him all the time. We are all going home on Mother's day weekend so they will get to meet their new cousin and Grandma will get to give him tons of kisses! : ) Miss April said that he was super cute (this we already knew, but we still like to hear it) He was a good boy and hung out with the girls for a little bit. Hopefully we will see her again before she heads North.

Week 5

Swinging...

Week 5 with my little Trace was great. He is getting to be a little chunky monkey. He likes to eat which makes him very sleepy! I try to give him tummy time every day so he can practice those motor skills. Though sometimes tummy time proves to be too much! He was having so much fun that he passed out... : ) He also spent some time this week enjoying his new swing.... Which usually puts him to sleep as well. The yorkie is not a fan of the swing. She tries to stand by it but it hits her in the head on the downswing... So she usually just lies next to it.

Were we working on something?

Mommy's night out

(Jennifer) (me!) (April)
Last night John stayed home with Trace for a few hours while I went out. My dear friend April is moving to Aspen next week. We met through the Nashville Junior Chamber 3 years ago. I had a great time, I got to see several friends that I have been away from recently. I am sad to lose April but I know that she will have a great time in her new town. A ton of her friends got together at the Greenhouse last night to wish her well. She is such a strong and FUN girl. She will have no problems settling into her new home. I do hope that she eventually makes it back to Nashvegas one day. In the meantime HAVE FUN April! Show that town the happy, smiling, super smart April that we all love.

April Update

Ok. So I am not doing so well at keeping up with my blog. But I am still trying. I have been sending out pictures to some of you. I should just spend the time putting them on here so everyone can catch up with my beautiful baby boy.
Trace is doing really well. He is a very laid back baby. He goes with whatever mommy needs him too. I have been working from home and he hangs out in his bouncy or his new swing (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Ed!). He really loves Tummy time. He likes to look around and the Yorkie is never too far from his side.

We had our first family outing last week. John, Trace and I went to a local kid friendly (ie- non-smoking) sports bar to watch the final NCAA Championship game. It was a lot of fun. His first sporting event. We are trying to get him ready for football season. Actually he never woke up, but I'm sure his dreams were colorful. It was nice to get out and relax as a family.

Grandma, Grandpa Ed and Aunt Kristen came last weekend. We had a busy day on Saturday running errands and getting a few necessities for the little man. Trace had his one month check up on the 11th. The doctor said that he looks great! He is up to 9.6 pounds and 22 1/2 inches long. (That is the 75th percentile on height) He will be tall like his Daddy! That's about it around here.
